An Eighteen years old, innocent guy was taken aback when his friend told him “No matter how good sportsman you are, if you don’t have any education you will get ZERO”.
Class ten dropout Anil Rai belongs to a family whose source of earning is only farming. With two elder brothers and a sister he is the youngest and the naughtiest one. Besides being a good sportsman he describes himself as a sensitive and a hard working person who dislikes being dominated by others. He is an outspoken person but less confident in interacting in English. When he heard about the MORD course he got excited to learn something new, gain knowledge and specially improve his English.
Everything seemed to be perfect till he got to know that he really had to work hard to cope up with the studies and his friends who were much better in their academic fields. He came to realize that his aim was not only to become economically independent but to become less dependent on others while trying to speak in English. To avoid getting ZERO he started working hard no matter how forgetful he was and started interacting with his classmates even in broken English.
Somebody has said it correctly that there are three ingredients in making a good life: learning, earning and yearning. For Anil, his Yearning to improve English and gain knowledge has made him one of the popular student in Hospitality sector who does not hesitate anymore to speak up and interact in English. Smiling away he says “If I hadn’t joined Don Bosco I would have become a Mougli thanks to my trainers I have learnt to become more social”.
